Add Patients
Patients will need to be added in Apotec CRM before you are able to perform any patient-related activities. To add a patient, you can enter their details in manually, perform a PDS search/validation to pull key details from the Patient Demographics Service, including the patient's name, date of birth, gender, contact numbers, and address, or use our patient match tool within Workflow to create a patient using the data from their incoming prescription. All three methods have been described in this article, you can use the contents to navigate between the step-by-step process for each.
Add/Remove Nominations
Patients need to be nominated to your pharmacy for you to download their EPS prescriptions. There are four places within the application where you can add and remove patient nominations. They are the;
Delete/Restore Patients
You are able to mark patients as deleted, and restore them at a later date if needed.
Edit Patients
Once a patient has been created, you may need to edit their details.
Get to Know Patient Details
The patient details form holds all the important information about your patient, including their name, date of birth, address, contact details, allergies and conditions, and profile and characteristics. The form is split across several tabs to group key patient data into relevant sections. The fields on each tab have been described below.

Mark Items as Stopped
You can mark items as Stopped in the patient record. Stopped items will display with a STOPPED badge in the patient's Medication History.

Search Patients
You can search for patients from any module within Apotec CRM by typing the patient's surname into the Search bar and pressing [Enter] on the keyboard. If you are part of a multi-branched organisation, you can also search for patients across your organisation.
Select Prescribers/Orgs
You can add Prescribers and a Prescribing Organisation on the Prescriber tab in the patient details form. These details will be used as the default Prescribers and Prescribing Organisation when adding manual prescriptions.
