If configured in your application settings, an RTEC check will automatically be performed on your EPS prescriptions when they're downloaded to ascertain the patient's exemption status where possible. Desktop Companion is a utility service that starts automatically with Windows. It identifies your computer peripherals and stores them as devices for your branch for easy connection to your printers, label printers, scanners etc. The utility will auto-update with any new functionality we deploy, so once it's installed you're good to go.

Serious Shortage Protocols (SSPs) are announced when there are shortages of an item(s) in the market. While adhering to specific NHSBSA protocols, prescription items can be substituted with alternatives. Apotec CRM will be updated regularly with any expired, extended or new SSP alerts as they are announced.

You can mark your temperature controlled locations as broken within the Temperature Log, and mark them as fixed once they're working again.
Where you decide not to dispense an item, for instance a cancelled item or if the patient decides to purchase over the counter (OTC), you will need to mark it as Not Dispensed (ND).

On occasion a script may need to be returned to the Spine e.g., where medication hasn’t been collected, either the patient or another dispenser on behalf of the patient has requested it or you were unable to fulfil the medication on the prescription. The Return Script function can be accessed from several tabs in the Workflow module. They are;
You can generate an EPS claim report to obtain an indication of the number of EPS Release 2 prescriptions that you have claimed within a given month, with a breakdown of exempt and paying items and forms. The report calculates totals based on the claim period which runs from the 1st of the month until the 5th of the following month.

Sending and exporting electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR) allows for sharing and transfer of medication records between healthcare providers. You can send and export eMAR from the MDS Manager or the patient MDS tab if an eMAR Type has been configured in the Nursing Home/Community patient's settings.
